John Hostetter was an accomplished American character actor, voice artist, and painter. While widely recognized for playing John the stage manager on the hit live-action sitcom Murphy Brown, he also built a highly successful 20-year voice acting career. He lent his signature gruff voice to prominent Western cartoons, video games and iconic Studio Ghibli anime localizations.
